All things that pass are wisdom's looking glass... Rosetti
It's a lovely chilly sunny day and of course it's colder here in the hov- hov- hovel.

Light of Day ...Tribute to Bruce Springsteen...
Time out of Mind...Bob Dylan
Hunky Dory ... David Bowie ( make me smile I might listen twice...)
Rome ...Nancie DeRoss
A Few Small Repairs...Shawn Colvin
Bandits...soundtrack ( I walked down the street singing TweedleDee&TweedleDum)
Both Sides Now...Joni Mitchell ( probably next... I loved the scene with Emma Thompson with this song in Love, Actually
The Other Side of Time...Mary Fahl

My goal is to finish at least half the books I have that I haven't read. I keep buying books and only read and finish , like 25 % of the books I buy. I have as a goal a book a week. I am sure some weeks I might finish 2 or at most 3. I figure in the 3 months before 2/20/04 I will finish at least 14-maybe even 42. 42 would be quite a lot of books, on a variety of subjects, from Al Franken's new one to a bio of Dorothy Parker, to Sister Fidelma's mysteries to Posession by AS Byett. Actually, Franken and Parker would probably get along quite well !

Tuesday Two
Two Things I wouldn't mind if Santa left at my doorstep...
Winning lottery ticket
Mr. Not quite perfectorright but so wonderful it wouldn't matter 'cuz I am not so perfect myself.

Love, Actually gets a strong 3 cuppa coffee. It's not quite up to a 4 cupper, but it's very much worth seeing in the theatre if you like romantic comedy, Hugh Grant and the rest of the ** stellar cast**... Emma Thompson is especially good. Nicely edited, but the pace takes a little getting used to. I wouldn't mind one bit if Mr Not-Quite-PerfectorRight looks like Colin Firth and has a nice place in the south of France.
I wouldn't mind living in that fairytale land of urbanite upper middle class, where everyone has a lovely decor and well chosen clothes... hand me a Hugh Grant/Richard Curtis romantic comedy life any old time.

Reminder : Buy Nothing Day is November 28.
I plan to laze around, do laundry, watch a DVD or something, clean a window maybe...call a freind or something...who knows? But I won't buy anything. It might be a good thing to have that declared a National Holiday...but for now, Adbusters and their ilk are doing a great service.
