" You've never seen everything..."

2.14.2004

Go read Margaret Cho while I am ordering something that tastes really good...

I just wanna say...I am kinda down right now, and I have decided that Italian food will once more rescue me. I am gonna drown in something good from one of my favorite two order out places. Probably have my standard cream pesto tortellini from Mary's Pizza shack...they have about 10 I think all over Sonoma County and maybe one in Napa. Plus their spinach salad w/ cranberries and walnuts and raisins and gorgonzola... yup, I need to slowly baste my sorrows in something good.

While away for a day, I watched Angel Season 3 and will probably be watching some of the wonderful little featurettes etc. they have. Maybe I'll drown my down mood in a movie-- I might watch Chaplin for a Robert Downey Jr fix...or The Player is always entertaining.
I would sincerely like Robert Downey Jr ( who I have no idea what he's up to whatsoever ...some gossip I keep up on, some I don"t ...) to make a really good string of films...uh, well.. let's see...3. An offbeat romantic comedy, a little dark, set in SF or Toronto or London. The nbext one, let's put him in a historical drama, something mysterious maybe. I would also love to have him-- ironically enough-- play a modern version of an Americanised Lord Peter Whimsey. Of course, it wouldn't be Lord Peter...maybe his grandson. if anyone gets an idea from that, please all I ask is a really really good meal and maybe 1 % of the gross. Please do not put it on cable, as I don't have cable TV. I just want to see Robert Downey, Jr. in something interesting but not too quirky, The Singing Detective was rather odd, off putting however of course, he carried the show brilliantly.

Please read Margaret Cho's blog. She's wonderful. Her POV doesn't precisely jibe with mine...but goddess, she can write up a storm, and has such a sweet concern and love for the GLBTG community, I gotta love her. Her attitude is hard won and hard learned, earned and it's working for me, got me to feeling a lot better tonight.

and of course, my consistant note as of late, until late October...
