" You've never seen everything..."

2.05.2004

Oh, let's just keep it going that's all I ask...

Hello Constant Reader. All I ask is that I keep showing up here. All I want is to fight the good fight against hormonal shifts, phobias and SAD.

Listening : Cassandra Wilson , Rendezvous

Watching :
The first of my Feb 5-March 5 Netflix how many can I rent in a month fest...??
Nemesis : I'll give it 2 coffee cups. Not very good coffee, either. The script is stale, the characerizations lazy, Brent Spiner and a few others look like they'd rather be doing free Shakespeare in Stockton than doing what they're doing...There's dull padding, pacing is bad, editing is aweful...it picks up some pace the last 40 minutes, it does have a few redeemable moments, but i would say you'd be better off renting the Alien Quadrology or some classic you've never seen or...seeing Mr. Spiner play Hamlet in Stockton.

I am also enjoying my Dark Angel revival. Why go off on Nemesis and enjoy thoroughly Ms. Alba &co do their coolio dealio ? I think this is a great 1st season. Haven't seen the 2nd, probably rent it from Netflix after my moviefest is done. It's got a lot of heart, and a relevent message...if we lost our power yup, we'd be a third world country in a heartbeat. More than one way we can lose our electricity and combustion engine access... slow attrition , EMG pulse... slow attrition might see the USofA look like Dark Angel probably 2030 or so... unless we all do our part. I am not sure what my part is exactly, but I don't drive. I don't have a car. I do catch rides, use taxis and public transport. California isn't exactly the best state when it comes to a public transport POV, but this may change as cars and gas gets more expensive, and fewer people who do low paying service , retail etc. kind of jobs can afford a car. I would suggest that if you can, reduce your usage of your car by 20-30%. Just think how different rush hour would look if 3 in every 10 cars wasn't there.
By the way, if you like Dark Angel, you might read Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower...

REGISTER TO VOTE .... think about it this way, is this current dysadminstration truly representing the lower and middle class ? If you're are of a non Christian religion , do you feel represented or respected ? Whoever you are, do you feel you have an ear in government that will hear you?
