" You've never seen everything..."

I'm still here

Desolation Row my favorite Bob Dylan song, heard for the first time when I was around...8ish...years old.
If Dogs Run Free..since I am a cynophobe, which means I am afraid of dogs, I'd let humans and cats run free, and have " dogfree" zones...which of course, means about 2 miles radius of wherever I am walking, living, visiting...the dogs would vanish to some otherworld, wherein they'd have great care etc. but not bother me in anyway. The owners of the dogs would have cats and new hobbies and a 10% pay raise and other compensation for having their dogs out of their life, however temporarily. It's not that I hate dogs, I have no ill will towards them, I just don't trust them to be nice.
Visions of Johanna... this contains the phrase from which part of this blog is titled. Actually it's the main title of the blog...the rest is cribbed from another Bob Dylan song and such....

DVD TV Collections that are paying for themselves
1. Buffy ( have watched each season 2 times at least, with a few 4 times )
2. Stargate ( have watched each season 2 times, and some episodes 4 times )
3. Angel
4. X Files ( am missing season 8/9, someday may treat myself to them, but BTVS/Angel, and Stargate are more reasonably priced, and I've been rewatching them more...)

DVD TV Recommended Commentaries
1. Any Stargate commentary with Peter Deluise . He's funny and amusing, very personable and despite his penchant for fart jokes and rather silly humor, has some very interesting things to say. Besides, seems like half the episodes of Stargate I really like are directed by him.
2. Gillian Anderson's to All Things, which was written and directed by herself.
3. Sex and the City Season 3, a four episode Mr Big & the affair arc, quite good. Very focused.
( as an extra, Joss Whedon's commentary to the last Firefly is also very focused, and interesting.

Why I don't just subscribe to cable...
1. 50$ which can buy 4 days of groceries.
2. They don't have SciFi and as I am loyal to my SG1 devotion, that's like...way stupid. Besides, all these cool shows are off the air now, I have netflix, and geeze.

If I had one collection to take off to space...
I would say Buffy . SG1 is great, and I enjoy it, I'd miss it... but Buffy has such consistant quality and is I think representive of a very positive use of digital media.
