Way later than I should be up !
I am going to scale down my presence here from Sundays through Wednesdays. I need to concentrate on my college classes, which right now actually is college "class" in Spanish. I will hopefully show up Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and if the spirit and energy hits me, Sunday days.
My other blog is a blog oriented towards me exploring my career possibilities, my class exercises in Spanish, writing exercises, and maybe once in a while as I mentioned earlier...coffee. The amount of time I'll spend on the movies, personal rants, diary style blog, political links etc. will be reduced during my " schoolweek".
I love Stargate Fanfic. I also enjoy forays into Buffy/ATS fanfic, especially crossovers ! These are some good links for fanfic, especially SG1 ....
Dietcokechic's fanfic. Her " Barista" series is classic !
FanFiction.net they have fanfic for books, TV, etc. You name it, most likely there are a few stories some fans have written as a follow up to The Stand or 1984 or the ubiquitous Harry Potter or Charmed or...whatever...
I mostly hang out in the Stargate fanfic area, of course !! Harry Potter does very little for me, I like the series but it's in the category of "liked it" not " loved it" . And yes, there is 1984 fanfic out there. I enjoyed 1984 and certainly see its relevance to today's topsy turvy world especially the newspeak of the present day dysadminstration, however, again, I haven't actively sought out to read 1984 fanfic.
Gateworld They have a lot of information, including spoilers - so be alert when you read something ...chances are a spoiler might be there - and fanfic.
Jackfic... if you like O'Neill with two l's...if you think Richard Dean Anderson was even sexy as 90 year old man...this is the fanfic site for you. This site contains a lot of information, and some of the best fanfic I've read has been through Jackfic.
Twisting The Hellmouth this is a crossover site for Buffy/ ATS with dozens amongst dozens of fandoms...the most popular seem to be WWE ( I am even less a wrestling fan then Harry Potter fan...) Harry Potter, and yep, Stargate. Something about a universe that involves apocalypses every few weeks that involve demons and goddesses and other supernatural stuff...and a series that involves many almost end of the world type derring do with aliens who think they're gods and goddesses...attract crossover ideas galore !! Like the idea of Willow and Daniel together..so do quite a few crossover fanfic writers ! Think Jack could easily be part of Xander's genetic template...yep, so do other fanfic writers !! I really like the tone of this site, and have enjoyed many a story !!
