Poor being cut out of " compassionate conservativism's" vision even more...
I would suggest everyone every month in some way support some sort of program that benefits the poor...whether it's a food bank or shelter, job center or anything that you think helps lend a hand to those who need it the most.
There is so much that needs people's attention, their action, their support...I've a fixed income, so I can only choose very carefully what I support, and plan on doing something for each month to help an organisation I believe in, to help make the society I'd prefer the USofA and the wider world to be...It doesn't need to be much but to put something out there, to put your 10%... in time, money, action, thought, deed, lifestyle, letters---I am not saying 10% of your money, I am saying an hour a day, a letter a week, some money you can afford to Amnesty Int'l or a local museum...a comlete holistic package. And It doesn't have to be all at once. I myself am warming up to the idea that I can holistically knit some money, some action, lifestyle changes, educating myself and others, etc. into someone who is a challenge to the status quo!! When the status quo no longer serves this nation, I am very glad to be a one person challenge to it.Be an example of change ! Be a candle in the darkness, it's so important.
